Did you know?
- 📜 The very first singer to be showcased was Daubray in 1882, although he is no longer on display at Grévin.
- 🤘 Johnny Hallyday was unveiled at Musée Grévin at the end of 1962. This was the first time that a celebrity under 20 had been celebrated by the museum. A new waxwork was created in 1977,1994 and most recently in 2019, making a total of four!
- 🎙 After Edith Piaf’s waxwork was showcased at the Olympia concert hall, it was taken back to Musée Grévin in a white and beige 1956 Citroën Traction 11 BL.
- 🕺 On Saturday 19 April 1997, at 11.50 a.m., an extremely rare happening occurred: the Paris Police Prefecture ordered that the Grands Boulevards be closed to traffic. Two companies of CRS officers were deployed to stand guard on either side of the street along the packed pavements. Michael Jackson had come to Grévin for the unveiling of his waxwork and arrived in a car with the registration plate 415 BAD 77!
- 🎸M’s waxwork is wearing a pink leather coat and purple sequinned headgear made by Gérald Portenart. -M- is holding the now famous pink guitar he created for his daughter Billie in his hand, which he himself provided!
