Edith Piaf

Edith Piaf is one of the most iconic figures in French popular music. She developed her unique talent for singing as a child.  She was discovered in Paris by Louis Leplée, the manager of Le Gerny's cabaret, who hired her and gave her the stage name: "La Môme Piaf". It was the start of an exceptional career. The wax sculpture of Edith Piaf is one of the stars of the Grevin Museum!

Did you know?

At the start of 1963, Johnny Hallyday was the first celebrity under 20 to be added to the Grévin museum. He went on to be depicted at various stages of his life.

Did you know?

Inauguration: On 19 April 1997, the Grands Boulevards were closed to traffic, crowds gathered in front of the museum, and a hundred guests congregated in the Grévin theatre to welcome the star. Michael Jackson was coming to the Grévin museum to inaugurate his wax double! 

Did you know?

To dress her waxwork, Céline Dion presented the Grévin museum with the outfit she wore for her first performance at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
