Pop singer Katy Perry, winner of numerous awards including Teen Choice, the MTV Europe Music Awards and the Golden Globes is an iconic figure in today’s music world.
A writer, composer and performer, she shot to international fame with the hitI kissed a girl, and is known for her colourful and daring outfits. She has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, writing the lyrics for Old Habits Die Hardby Mick Jagger, who also appears in the museum, and working with artists such as Nicki Minaj and Sia on her own albums.
Katy Perry was keen to pose for Grévin when she was invited to appear in this major Parisian venue, but she was in the United States recording her new album at the time. Grévin therefore decided to challenge its teams and sculptor Eric Saint Chaffray to create a figure just using a photo and to surprise Katy by dressing it in one of the outfits from her Prismatic World Tour.
