The following rules apply within the premises of the Grévin Museum in Paris (hereinafter referred to as "Grévin" or the "Museum"), which includes, but is not limited to, all Museum rooms, the theater, the Palace of Mirages, the café area, shops, access lines, restrooms, access ways, alleys, and generally all installations, infrastructure, and equipment operated by the Grévin Museum company (hereinafter referred to as the "Grévin Museum Company") and/or it service providers.


These regulations apply to all visitors of Grévin, to persons authorized to use part or all of Grévin for private parties, receptions, meetings, performances, and various events, as well as to anyone present in the Museum for professional reasons.

By entering the Museum, visitors of Grévin, service providers, suppliers, and anyone authorized by the Grévin Museum Company (hereinafter collectively or individually referred to as "Visitors") unconditionally accept all the rules set forth in these internal regulations (hereinafter referred to as "Internal Regulations").

ARTICLE 1. ACCESS TO GREVIN

1.1 Access Tickets 

Anyone wishing to enter Grévin must possess a valid access ticket for the Museum, including visitors exempted from entrance fees or benefiting from a reduced rate. Visitors must retain their access ticket throughout their visit. The Grévin Museum Company reserves the right to request the ticket at any time.


Access tickets are for single use, and any exit from Grévin is final.


The Grévin Museum Company reserves the right to refuse entry to any Visitor, regardless of the access ticket they hold, if the maximum number of Visitors set for the day is reached. The Grévin Museum Company shall not be held liable in such cases, and no compensation or refund of any kind will be granted to such Visitors.


Anyone attending a private event at Grévin must be listed as an invited guest. The Grévin control staff will verify this list.


Grévin’s service providers and suppliers must register with the security team upon arrival.

 

1.2 Minors

Minors under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult to purchase an access ticket and enter Grévin.


Minors remain the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians throughout their time at Grévin. Parents and guardians must carefully supervise the minors in their care and assume responsibility for any damages caused by them.


Any minor under the age of 15 found lost will be taken to the Grévin security office.

 

1.3 Animals

Animals are strictly prohibited in the Museum, except for small domestic pets and guide or assistance dogs. 

Guide and assistance dogs must be kept on a leash and remain under the control of their handler.


Small domestic pets must be carried in the arms of their owner or in a bag designed for this purpose.

 

1.4 Opening of Grévin

Grévin is open to the public every day of the week, including holidays, except for annual closure days as specified in the current Grévin opening calendar, available on the Grévin websitewww.grevin-paris.com .

Entry to Grévin is no longer permitted one hour before the Museum closes. Grévin's opening hours are also available on the website. 

ARTICLE 2. PRIORITY ACCESS

Special arrangements have been made within Grévin to facilitate movement for individuals with disabilities.


Holders of a valid disability card may benefit from priority access to the Museum entrance, its various rooms, the theater, the Palace of Mirages, and sales points upon presenting their card to Grévin staff.


Visitors with reduced mobility may also receive assistance during their visit from a member of the Museum staff.

ARTICLE 3. HEALTH MEASURES

Visitors are required to comply with the health regulations established by public authorities and/or Grévin.


These regulations are available on the Grévin website  (https://www.grevin-paris.com/) and near the Museum's ticket counters.

Any Visitor who fails to comply with these rules will be denied entry or expelled from Grévin. Grévin cannot be held liable for such refusals, and no compensation or refund of any kind will be provided.

ARTICLE 4. CLOAKROOM

A paid cloakroom is available to Visitors, subject to availability.


Visitors will receive one or more numbered tickets in exchange for depositing their personal items in the cloakroom.


In case of a lost ticket, Visitors will not be able to retrieve their items until the cloakroom closes and will only be able to do so after providing a detailed description of the items. Grévin is required to return items to the ticket holder, without checking ID, and will not be held liable if the ticket holder is not the rightful owner.


Strollers and bulky items must be left in the cloakroom free of charge during school holidays. Outside of holidays, light, compact strollers are allowed in Grévin, provided they do not pose a risk or inconvenience to other Visitors, wax figures, and installations.


All personal items left in the cloakroom must be retrieved the same day before Grévin closes ; otherwise, they will be treated as lost property.

ARTICLE 5. LOST AND FOUND ITEMS - THEFTS

5.1 Lost and found items

Visitors who find a lost item, including a cloakroom ticket, are invited to bring it to the Grévin Security Office.

Lost items can be retrieved from the Security Office upon presentation of a valid form of identification (national identity card, passport, driver’s license, etc.).

The following lost items will be kept at Grévin for one (1) month: identity documents (national identity card, passport, driver’s license, etc.), bank cards, valuable items (including electronic devices and jewelry). After this period, they will be turned over to the competent authorities. Any other items (such as clothing) will not be kept for more than one week.

Any personal item found within the Grévin premises that appears suspicious will be handed over to the competent authorities.

 

5.2 Thefts and damage to property 

Visitors must ensure that their personal belongings are not left unattended during their visit.


Visitors who witness a theft, attempted theft, damage, or attempted damage must immediately report it to a Grévin security officer and/or any other member of the Grévin staff.

ARTICLE 6. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

6.1 Prohibited substances and objects

It is strictly forbidden to introduce and/or consume within the Grévin premises any substance and/or object that may endanger the safety, health, or peace of mind of visitors and/or Grévin staff, including but not limited to:

  • Any illegal substance and/or object (such as drugs, etc.);

  • Any dangerous substance or object (including flammable and/or volatile products, explosives, gas cylinders, acid, foul-smelling products, weapons of all categories, lasers, etc.);

  • Any sharp or blunt object (such as knives, batons, baseball bats, etc.);

  • Any object resembling a weapon (such as water pistols, laser guns, etc.);

  • Any food or drink (including alcoholic beverages, except for drinks purchased within Grévin);

  • Any bulky object exceeding the following dimensions : 55 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm, including luggage or suitcases, which must be deposited in the cloakroom in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Internal Regulations;

  • Any glass object;

  • Any object that can be used to make noise (such as speakers, vuvuzelas, megaphones, horns, musical instruments, etc.);

  • Any remote-controlled object (such as aircraft, drones, remote-controlled cars, or boats, etc.);

  • Any sports equipment (such as balls, skipping ropes, hoops, dumbbells, etc.);

  • Any recreational means of transport, motorized or not (such as roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, etc.). According to Article 4 of the Internal Regulations, these items must be deposited in the Grévin cloakroom.

6.2 Visitor Behavior 

Visitors must behave in a manner that respects public order and good morals within Grévin. Visitors must not compromise the safety, dignity, health, or tranquility of other visitors and/or Grévin staff, nor damage the Museum’s facilities or the personal property of other visitors and/or Grévin staff. In general, visitors must refrain from any conduct or speech that may disrupt the orderly conduct of the visit to Grévin.
To this end, it is notably prohibited to :

  • Damage, lean on, or touch Grévin’s installations, including wax figures and scenery;

  • Engage in any unauthorized or illegal commercial activity within the Museum, including the sale of goods or provision of services ;

  • Resell Grévin access tickets ;

  • Engage in any proselytizing activity, including the dissemination of any message, verbally or in writing, for example through leaflets, brochures, flyers, or posters ;

  • Enter Grévin premises in an intoxicated state or consume any drugs;

  • Smoke within Grévin, including electronic cigarettes ;

  • Eat or drink within Grévin ;

  • Discard waste outside of designated trash bins, as visitors must ensure the cleanliness of Grévin;

  • Cross barriers and devices intended to control public access, unless instructed otherwise by Grévin staff ;

  • Enter areas closed to the public by barriers, chains, doors, or signs indicating “Forbidden” or “Private” or any other means signaling a non-public area ;

  • Enter non-public service areas of Grévin, even if they are temporarily left open ;

  • Enter emergency access routes (for firefighters, ambulances, police), including using emergency exits and/or staircases;

  • Disturb other visitors with noisy behavior, such as playing loud music or using any device in speaker mode, regardless of the volume level ;

  • Engage in running, pushing, sliding, or climbing activities within Grévin ;

  • Use the visiting areas in a manner inconsistent with their intended purpose.

This list is not exhaustive.


Grévin Museum reserves the right to take any necessary measures in the event of public disorder, theft, damage, verbal or physical violence, indecency, malice, non-compliance with safety instructions, inappropriate remarks or behavior, etc.

 

6.3 Visitor control

Grévin’s security personnel are authorized to conduct visual inspections, perform security pat-downs, and search visitors' personal belongings with their consent. The Grévin security service may also alert the competent authorities.


Grévin Museum reserves the right to carry out these checks at the entrance to the Museum to ensure that visitors do not possess prohibited substances or objects as outlined in Article 6.1 of these Internal Regulations or pose a potential danger due to, for example, abnormal alcohol consumption or illicit substances.


Grévin’s security personnel will deposit at the Security Office any objects and personal belongings whose introduction is not authorized within Grévin.


Grévin Museum also reserves the right to refuse access to or expel from Grévin any visitor who (i) is intoxicated, (ii) under the influence of drugs, (iii) threatens other visitors and/or Grévin staff, (iv) possesses prohibited substances or objects, (v) refuses to submit to a security pat-down. Grévin Museum cannot be held liable for such refusals, and no compensation or refund of any kind will be due to such visitors, nor will any refund of the admission ticket be provided.

 

6.4 Compliance with Grévin staff instructions

Visitors must comply without reservation with the instructions given to them by Grévin staff and/or those posted within the premises of Grévin. These instructions are issued solely to ensure the safety and health of visitors and Grévin staff, as well as the integrity of Grévin’s facilities, equipment, and property.


Visitors must particularly adhere to evacuation drills that may be conducted during their visit. If evacuation of Grévin is necessary, visitors must leave the buildings without delay and calmly, following the instructions of Grévin staff.

 

6.5 Incidents during the visit

Any incident or abnormal event must be immediately reported to a Grévin security officer and/or any other member of Grévin staff.


In the event of illness or accidents, Grévin staff will call emergency services. If a doctor, nurse, or first responder among the visitors intervenes, they must remain with the patient until help arrives and provide their name, first name, and contact details to a member of Grévin staff.

ARTICLE 7. DRESS CODE FOR VISITORS

Visitors are required to wear decent attire and to exhibit perfect decorum towards the staff of Grévin, other visitors, and, in general, all individuals present within Grévin. "Decent attire" is understood to mean any appropriate clothing that does not offend modesty or public morals. 

The wearing of attire that completely covers the face is prohibited, except for health reasons.

ARTICLE 8. SPECIAL PROVISIONS RELATING TO GROUPS

The reception of groups is subject to reservation with the Grévin Booking Center, whose contact details are as follows:

The Société Musée Grévin reserves the right to refuse entry to any group that arrives at the Museum without prior reservation, particularly depending on attendance or the number of expected groups. A group may also be denied entry to Grévin if its size does not meet safety standards or if the number of supervisors, particularly for groups composed of minors, is not in accordance with applicable regulations.

Visitors belonging to a group are subject to the same rules as individual visitors, as set forth in this Internal Regulation. 

Group visits are conducted under the leadership of a designated person who commits to maintaining order and discipline within the group. 

The staff of Grévin may intervene to enforce discipline if necessary. Group visits must not disrupt other visitors.

ARTICLE 9. CLOSURE OF GREVIN

The Société Musée Grévin reserves the right, with or without prior notice, to close all or part of Grévin, to modify the days and hours of operation, to suspend all or part of the services offered, and/or to evacuate Grévin or certain areas thereof, particularly in the following cases :

  • In the event of a threat to the safety or health of visitors and/or Grévin staff (notably epidemics, terrorist threats, etc.);

  • Upon reaching the maximum number of visitors set for the day;

  • Following decisions made by competent public authorities;

  • In cases of force majeure ; and

  • During maintenance work.

In the event of an early closure of Grévin for the reasons stated above, no full or partial refund for admission tickets or other services shall be required by the visitors.

ARTICLE 10. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FLIMING

10.1     Photography by visitors

Any photographic, filmed, or video recording made by a visitor within the premises of Grévin must be intended solely for personal use limited to the private sphere, excluding any other use. Any shooting and/or exploitation of the resulting images, films, and videos for purposes other than personal use, particularly for commercial, promotional, advertising, media, professional, etc., is strictly prohibited, unless prior written permission is obtained from the Société Musée Grévin. The Société Musée Grévin reserves the right to take any action or legal recourse against visitors who do not comply with this rule.

Visitors are strictly prohibited from photographing and/or filming live performances presented in the Grévin theater, unless prior written authorization is obtained from the Société Musée Grévin. 

The Société Musée Grévin is not responsible for photographic, filmed, or video recordings made by visitors, particularly when one visitor photographs or films another. 

Any photographic, filmed, or video recording made by a visitor within the premises of Grévin that involves staff members requires the consent of the individuals concerned. 

 

10.2.    Filming within Grévin 

10.2.1. Visitors are informed that photographic, filmed, video recordings, and various types of recordings are regularly made within Grévin (advertisements, video clips, television programs, broadcasts, and documentaries, TV shows, TV formats, films, etc.). 

Visitors who do not wish to be filmed and/or photographed during these shoots are invited to notify the security staff who will inform the production manager present on-site.
 

10.2.2. Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 10.1 "Photography by Visitors" for personal purposes, it is strictly prohibited to take photographic, filmed, or video recordings within Grévin without prior written authorization from the Société Musée Grévin.

ARTICLE 11. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

Visitors are informed by regulatory posting within Grévin (notably at the entrance to Grévin, at the Security Center, and in the shops) that a video surveillance system is installed to ensure the safety of visitors and staff as well as the protection of the buildings and installations.

This installation complies with Articles L.223-1 to L.223-9, L.251-1 to L.255-1, L.613-13, R.223-2 to R.251-12, R.252-2 to R.252-12, and R.253-1 to R.253-4 of the Internal Security Code and Decree No. 96-926 of October 17, 1996, relating to video surveillance, regulated by a prefectural authorization.

The footage may be viewed, in the event of an incident, by authorized Grévin staff, personnel responsible for maintaining the equipment, and law enforcement agencies.

Every visitor has rights concerning the images captured of them by the cameras. These rights are further elaborated in Article 12 of these Internal Regulations dedicated to personal data.

ARTICLE 12. PERSONAL DATA

The Compagnie des Alpes (RCS Paris 349 577 908) and Musée GREVIN SA (a subsidiary of Compagnie des Alpes) implement, as co-data controllers, processing of personal data within the framework of marketing and exploiting the products and services of Musée Grévin.

These processes are described in the policy concerning personal data protection available on our website at https://www.grevin-paris.com/mentions-legales as well as at the reception of Musée GREVIN.

In accordance with current regulations regarding personal data protection, you have the right to access information concerning you, as well as the right to rectification, opposition, limitation of processing, and deletion, which you can exercise by contacting our Data Protection Officer via this form https://datalegaldrive.com/ed/exercer/formulaire_exercice/museegrevin or at privacy@grevin.com, or by mail at the address MUSEE GREVIN, Personal Data Protection Department, 10 Boulevard Montmartre - Paris (75 009), FRANCE.

ARTICLE 13. COMPLAINTS AND INCIDENTS

Visitors wishing to make a complaint to the Société Musée Grévin or report an incident during their visit may address security staff or send an email to the following address: billetterie.grevin@grevin.com 

ARTICLE 14. ENFORCEMENT

This Internal Regulation is available at the concierge desk of the Museum. It is also accessible on the website www.grevin-paris.comand at the entrance as well as within the premises of the Museum.

 The staff of Grévin, particularly the reception and security personnel, are responsible for enforcing these Internal Regulations.

The Société Musée Grévin reserves the right to deny access to Grévin to visitors who do not comply with these rules or to expel them for the same reasons, without liability on the part of the Société Musée Grévin. Consequently, no compensation and/or indemnity of any nature shall be owed to these visitors, and no refund for admission shall be processed. The Société Musée Grévin reserves the right to take any action against these visitors.
